About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to spearhead a significant business transformation within its Technical Ceramics Business Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the procurement function, with a focus on consolidating and professionalizing global procurement activities. This role demands a senior leader with a proven track record in transforming decentralized procurement into a centralized or center-led model, and who can deliver substantial, sustainable savings while creating broader commercial value. The CPO will be tasked with developing and executing a global procurement strategy, building and leading a high-performing team, and establishing procurement as a trusted business partner. Additionally, the role involves driving the adoption of AI, automation, and analytics in procurement, and strengthening supplier risk management and governance. Applicants for the CPO position at the company should have significant senior leadership experience in global procurement, deep expertise in indirect procurement and category management, and a strong understanding of procurement technology, analytics, AI, and automation. The role requires a data-driven, commercially astute, and pragmatic leader with the ability to influence at all levels and a proven ability to deliver capability across multiple geographies and business units. The ideal candidate will have a degree-level education or equivalent experience, with professional procurement qualifications being a plus.
