About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Credit Officer to provide strategic leadership and oversight of all credit department operations. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing credit policy and performance across various credit types, including commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, and small business administration credits. This role involves leading the credit team to support loan products, policies, and procedures that maintain the quality of the lending portfolio. The Chief Credit Officer will also be responsible for high-quality credit analysis, portfolio stress testing, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, the role includes serving on the bank's leadership team, participating in key committees, and assisting in the achievement of annual loan growth goals. Applicants for the Chief Credit Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years' experience in financial and credit analysis and lending, with a strong background in C&I lending. Management experience is essential, and a background in loan workouts and SBA experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have completed a formal bank management executive school or a financial industry-related degree program. The role requires the ability to create and analyze credit presentations, business correspondence, and loan policies, as well as to interpret and apply regulatory standards. The Chief Credit Officer will also be involved in maintaining relationships with the SBA and supporting guaranteed loan programs when beneficial to the bank and the borrower.
