About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to lead the strategic growth initiatives across the aerospace and defense government and commercial industrial markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth by securing contracts for a range of manufacturing services, including precision machining, metal fabrication, welding, and complex electromechanical and mechanical assemblies. This executive leader will be tasked with identifying strategic opportunities, cultivating customer relationships, and expanding the company's market position. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities, representing the company at various industry events, and establishing executive-level relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, from prime contractors to government procurement organizations. Applicants for the Vice President of Business Development role at the company must be US citizens with a Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. An MBA is preferred. A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive business development or capture management experience in a manufacturing environment focused on defense applications is required, with a proven track record of winning complex contracts. The role demands excellent executive communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to travel extensively. Proficiency in MS Office is a must, and experience with defense manufacturing quality systems, government procurement regulations, and existing relationships with major defense contractors is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a strong business acumen, customer relationship management skills, and a results-oriented approach to performance metrics.
