We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing and distribution business in Dallas, Texas. This role supports the Controller across day-to-day accounting operations, reporting, and analysis for multiple entities and business lines. The ideal candidate brings strong financial discipline, sound judgment, and the ability to manage both transactional accounting and higher-level reporting responsibilities in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounts payable activities, including invoice review, payment processing, and check disbursement to maintain accurate and timely vendor settlements.

• Partner with accounts receivable support staff to monitor outstanding balances, assist with collection efforts, and improve cash flow visibility.

• Prepare and review bank and credit card reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and ensuring the accuracy of recorded transactions.

• Support inventory accounting by tracking adjustments and documenting write-offs related to obsolete or slow-moving stock.

• Maintain accounting records and financial activity for affiliated business operations, including aviation-related and warehouse property entities.

• Produce financial statements and management reports for multiple entities, ensuring information is complete, organized, and delivered on schedule.

• Perform variance analysis to identify trends, explain budget-to-actual differences, and support informed business decisions.

• Coordinate with external tax and accounting partners by organizing schedules, responding to requests, and facilitating required filings.

• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, general ledger review, and account analysis to support accurate reporting.

• Proven experience in a senior-level accounting role with responsibility for financial reporting and general ledger management.
• Strong working knowledge of month-end close procedures, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.
• Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management activities in a multi-entity environment.
• Ability to complete bank and credit card reconciliations with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with inventory accounting, including adjustments and reserve or write-off activity.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence using accounting systems to manage day-to-day financial operations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate variances and communicate findings clearly.
• Comfortable working in an in-office setting and collaborating closely with leadership and cross-functional teams.
