Branch Operations And Development Representative

The Branch Operations and Development Representative processes a wide range of financial transactions for customers, sells negotiable instruments, cross-sells Bank products, and suggests possible services. This position answers questions, builds relationships with customers, and handles all preparations for customers to begin receiving services.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Providing services to consumers and business accounts, including assessing customer needs and cross-selling appropriate products and services.
• Opening accounts including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and other products offered by the bank.
• Preparing new loan requests to submit to loan processing.
• Ordering supporting documentation and ensuring its arrival.
• Processing draw requests, loan payments, and transfers.
• Preparing loan package for shipping and booking.
• Performing loan origination, portfolio management, and processing.
• Tracking and monitoring all required documents and packets.
• Closing and funding loans when required.
• Reviewing completed LOM for accuracy and submitting to loan operations.
• Participating in clearing collateral and credit exceptions.
• Reviewing and verifying loan files are complete and meet established standards.
• Pulling maturity and past-due reports.
• Referring new business to company subsidiaries, such as insurance, mortgage, and brokerage.
• Connecting with referrals made by other team members.
• Accompanying commercial lenders on calls to build and retain customer relationships.
• Resolving customer concerns and ensuring effective long-term problem resolution.
• Providing ancillary services such as notary services.
• Responding to customer inquiries relating to products, rates, and services promptly and professionally to ensure friendly and efficient customer service.
• Supporting and contributing to the attainment of branch goals.
• Maintaining a positive, friendly, and professional attitude and appearance.
• Representing the Bank by attending, volunteering, and participating in community, and networking events.
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Completing required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
• Performing any other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and experience:

Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication skills:

Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. Ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Critical thinking skills:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Software skills required:

Intermediate: 10-Key, Accounting, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing

Basic: Alphanumeric Data Entry, Contact Management, Database

Working conditions:

Periodically exposed to such elements as noise, intermittent standing, walking, pushing, carrying, or lifting; but none are present to the extent of being disagreeable.

Additional information:

- One (1) year of related experience and/or training - One (1) year of loan documentation experience preferred - Knowledge of consumer and commercial loan applications (DecisionPro and nCino) - Good understanding of financial institution products and services - Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities - Excellent proof-reading skills and attention to detail - Strong team player - Basic computer proficiency - May be required to work at an alternative location within the region or market
