Locum Tenens Oncology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP/PA) Location:
Santa Clara Schedule: Monday Friday 8:30 AM 5:30 PM Position Type: Locum Tenens Position Overview Seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our oncology team on a locum tenens assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for an advanced practice provider who is passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate cancer care in a collaborative clinical environment. Responsibilities Evaluate, assess, and manage adult oncology patients in an outpatient setting. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests and laboratory results. Monitor patient progress and manage treatment-related side effects. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Qualifications Active California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license. Board certification as an NP or PA. Previous oncology or hematology/oncology experience required. Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start). BLS certification required (ACLS preferred). Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills. Schedule Monday Friday 8:30 AM 5:30 PM Why Join This Assignment?
