Senior Civil Engineer - Water Resources & Conveyance About the Opportunity A leading employee-owned engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Southern California team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in civil, agricultural, or water resources engineering to lead the planning, design, and delivery of major water infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex water conveyance and pipeline projects, leading multidisciplinary teams, supporting business growth, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions for public and private sector clients. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water resources infrastructure projects. Provide technical oversight for water conveyance systems, including pipelines and associated facilities. Prepare and review engineering reports, drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates. Manage multiple projects, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved. Provide leadership and mentorship to engineers, EITs, technicians, and project staff. Review engineering designs and construction methodologies to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Participate in client meetings and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. Support proposal development, business development activities, and strategic growth initiatives. Provide engineering support during construction and field activities. Requirements Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California. Bachelor's degree in Civil, Agricultural, Water Resources Engineering, or related discipline. 20+ years of experience in civil engineering design, with significant experience in water infrastructure and pipeline projects. Strong expertise in design development, engineering reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimating. Proven experience managing teams of engineers and technical professionals. Strong project management capabilities, balancing multiple deadlines and client requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Experience Water conveyance systems and pipeline infrastructure. Water resources planning and design. Construction support and field engineering.
