Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Monday through Friday with every other weekend required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Progressive Care / Stepdown unit setting
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient census requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or related specialty
• Cardiac telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam)
• Must meet local rule: applicants residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Magnet-designated or high-acuity academic medical center environment
• Familiarity with both adult and pediatric cardiac rhythm interpretation
