About the Role

Cooler Master is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support deployment, installation verification, routine commissioning activities, maintenance, and field repairs of liquid cooling systems. Working under approved procedures and the guidance of an FAE or service lead, this role supports reliable site execution, accurate records, and customer operations. It is designed as an accessible entry point for qualified internal manufacturing, quality, test, and production technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform equipment receiving inspections, installation readiness checks, hose/fitting inspections, basic assembly and replacement of approved service parts.
• Assist with CDU-side fill, air purge, leak checks, startup, operational checks, and commissioning test execution under approved work instructions and supervision as required.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, filter changes, visual inspections, coolant sampling where authorized, and basic sensor/alarms checks.
• Collect readings, photos, test results, serial numbers, logs, and service history; complete checklists, maintenance records, and service reports.
• Carry out first-level fault isolation and component swaps within training/authorization limits; promptly escalate complex controls, electrical, hydraulic, or third-party interface issues to an FAE.
• Handle field tools, consumables, spare-parts inventory, shipping/returns, and RMA material traceability.
• Support customer walkthroughs and basic operational training using approved materials; follow site safety, lockout/tagout, and coolant-handling procedures.
• Provide improvement feedback to Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and service process owners.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent; technical certificate, associate degree, or relevant hands-on experience accepted. A bachelor’s degree is not required.
• 1+ year of hands-on technical experience in manufacturing, equipment testing, maintenance, installation, repair, quality, or field support; relevant internal production/test experience qualifies.
• Ability to follow written procedures, use basic hand tools and measuring instruments, identify leaks and abnormal conditions, and accurately document work.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read simple mechanical/electrical diagrams, with willingness to learn CDU operation and troubleshooting.
• Clear communication, safety awareness, customer professionalism, and ability to escalate issues within established boundaries.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer/factory sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with coolant handling, plumbing/hydronics, HVAC, industrial equipment, data centers, or CDU manufacturing and testing.
• Familiarity with P&IDs, sensors, pumps, pressure/flow readings, and standard electrical safety procedures.
• Prior participation in commissioning, preventive maintenance, or customer-site work.

Training & Onboarding

Initial onboarding combines Fremont factory/product training with supervised site work and qualification against approved service tasks. Periodic Fremont/Houston factory visits will be scheduled based on skill development and project requirements; the FAE’s monthly Fremont cadence is not a minimum requirement for this role.

Career Growth Opportunity

Progression to Field Application Engineer is available through demonstrated independent troubleshooting, commissioning ownership, technical documentation, customer communication, and cross-functional problem solving. Equivalent experience can satisfy FAE educational requirements.

Location: United States (Texas preferred; site-based or remote depending on deployment)

Travel: Up to 50–70% across North America, based on assigned sites

Employment Type: Full-Time non-exempt

Base Pay Range: $22.00–$27.00 per hour
