MRI Technologist

Job Summary: The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures in radiology and cardiology settings. This role involves operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and producing high-quality diagnostic images. The MRI Tech collaborates with healthcare providers to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. Candidates must hold relevant certifications and have a minimum of two years of experience. The position includes on-call duties and follows a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule. Responsibilities: Operate MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures. Prepare patients for MRI exams, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety. Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation. Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality imaging and patient care. Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards. Participate in on-call rotation, responding to imaging requests as needed. Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality control checks. Required Skills & Certifications: Active BLS certification. ARDMS certification and either ARDMS AB or ARDMS OB/GYN certification (one required). Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience. Active compact license or eligibility from non-Swedish Providence facilities separated for 3 months. Strong patient care and communication skills. Preferred Skills & Certifications: Experience working in radiology and cardiology imaging departments. Previous traveler experience in similar roles. Special Considerations: On-call requirement of 2-3 shifts per month. Position may accept first-time travelers. Must comply with facility licensure and certification requirements. Scheduling: Work schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM. #J-18808-Ljbffr
