Senior Analyst/Scrum Master

We are seeking a Senior Analyst/Scrum Master to work on a client Institutional Technology group team developing high quality applications servicing the financial industry. This role will support Software Engineers who are developing web applications using mainly Angular, Java and Oracle technologies to develop solutions for the Fixed Income, FX and Syndicate suite of applications.

Expertise We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6+ years of related experience within a technology environment.
• Experience of working with cross-functional teams.
• Financial services industry experience preferred.

Purpose of Your Role

You will perform the role of System Analyst/Scrum Master for an Agile. You will partner with other members on the squad to accelerate value delivery, by acting as a change agent and facilitator. You will support the team as they mature their understanding and application of agile principles and practices and remove impediments to fully realizing the benefits of working in an Agile format and structure. You will assist the Product Owner/Squad Lead with requirements gathering, data analysis and story writing.

• Crafting User Stories which capture the Business need, as well as determining the criteria for when the User Story is considered acceptable

• Managing and coordinating logistics for agile ceremonies (e.g., backlog prioritization, planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives)
• Supporting adoption, and consistent use of, enabling tools (e.g., Jira)
• Working with Technology & Business Partners to understand project objectives, timelines, and requirements.
