Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager

Role Description Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager – Resilience Water Team, Little Rock, Arkansas. You will manage the full spectrum of the project lifecycle for water and wastewater projects, including conceptual planning, permitting, detailed design, and construction support. Your work will span multiple engineering disciplines and involve business development activities. Role Accountabilities Oversee contracting, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resourcing for assigned projects. Supervise design, report progress, and support procurement of construction services. Administer construction activities, evaluate plans and designs for completeness and constructability, and support permitting. Participate in construction observation, review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and manage permit closeouts. Oversee the development of design calculations, technical report sections, drawings, and specifications. Prepare construction packages for water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. Develop cost estimates and project schedules, ensuring design tasks are completed on budget and on schedule. Supervise and mentor junior-level engineering and design/drafting staff. Leverage client relationships to win new projects in collaboration with Principal-level staff. Prepare and present project-related information to clients during weekly and monthly progress meetings. Travel for project site visits, client meetings, or other project-related activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. 12 years of relevant engineering project management experience. PE license or ability to obtain one within six months. Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will have at least six years of experience managing design and construction engineering for water and wastewater projects, including distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, pump and lift stations, and treatment facilities. Experience as a Task Manager, Design Lead, or Technical Lead on projects of varying sizes is preferred. Additional preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or a related field; experience in construction inspection and management; asset management and condition assessment; process mechanical design; active participation in professional associations; and PMP certification.
