This isn't just a job, it's a chance to drive infrastructure forward, power innovation and leave your mark on our energy future.In the role of Technical Specialist, we'll count on you to:Perform engineering assignments under the direct supervision of a licensed engineerDesign tasks involving judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying engineering techniques and proceduresProduction of design drawings and construction documents through the use of computer aided design and other softwarePreparation of design or quantity calculationsPreparation of specifications and contract documentsCoordination with other disciplines as necessaryOther duties as assigned by the supervising engineerConduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (examples include engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and project specifications)Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and proceduresComplete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables. Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers / professionals on larger projectsWork with assistance from Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as neededPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineeringExperience working in multi-disciplinary environmentsEngineer in Training (EIT) certificateRequired Qualifications:Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experienceA minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supportedAptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supportedKnowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supportedProficient with Microsoft OfficeGood verbal and written communication skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustHDR is our company. The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
