Summary:


The Staff Accountant position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of the finance and accounting operations of the Miami Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium, and its related entities. The roles and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to corporate event accounting, event settlements, payroll, and systems.

Location:

• This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL

Responsibilities:

• Event Accounting:
  • Providing accurate, timely, and relevant recording, and reporting of financial information for multiple entities
  • Collaborating with multiple departments and performing monthly reconciliations for all applicable balance sheet accounts
  • Validate invoices and match against budgets to ensure settlement accuracy
  • Compare event budgets to actual and research variances
• Corporate Events Accounting:
  • Manage the accounting and financial reporting activities for corporate events, ensuring revenues and expenses are accurately recorded and reported
  • Review and reconcile event-related revenues, expenses, accruals, and settlements to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Event Payroll:
  • Support the accounting, reconciliation, and financial oversight of payroll expenses related to events
  • Coordinate with Payroll and departmental leaders to ensure payroll costs are accurately coded, allocated, and reported
  • Review payroll activity for accuracy and completeness, including event-specific labor charges, allocations, and budget adherence
• Systems:
  • Leverage and support key financial systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), SAP Concur, and other business applications, to facilitate and support operational efficiency
  • Willing to work on other ad hoc projects, as required
• Other Entities:
  • Bookkeeping and monthly financial packages

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
• 0-1-year relevant experience
• Meticulous, ambitious, organized, team player
