Company Sponsored Time: We offer a 4-day, 32-hour work week, and YWCA will provide this role 8 hours of Company Sponsored Time for you to use on Fridays to maintain work-life balance while maintaining pay at 40 hours a week.
Pay Range: $32.94 per hour
Schedule: This position works Monday through Thursday, approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with up to eight hours per week approved for remote work.

The SafeChoice Director of Housing Services provides strategic leadership and oversight for SafeChoice housing programs, including but not limited to: eviction prevention or diversion, rapid re-housing, transitional housing, and related housing supports.
This position ensures housing services are survivor-centered, trauma-informed, accessible, and aligned with YWCA Clark Countys mission, values, contract obligations, and domestic violence best practices. The Director works closely with the Director of Shelter Services, the Director of Domestic Violence Community Services, and other agency leaders to strengthen housing assessment access, service coordination, cross-program collaboration, and responsive support for survivors throughout the agencys service area. This position oversees program implementation, staff supervision and development, data quality and reporting, compliance requirements, housing program budgets, and community partnerships.
The Director of Housing Services demonstrates mission-aligned leadership by maintaining healthy work-life boundaries, communicating directly and respectfully, centering accountability, encouraging continuous improvement, celebrating success, and providing stability during crisis. This position may provide direct service support when needed.

- Provide leadership and direction to program staff, ensuring YWCAs commitment to racial and gender justice is embedded in program decisions and operations.
- Think through the lens of racial equity and its intersections with poverty. Use the core principles of anti-racism and grounding those principles in all daily tasks.
Program management and supervision
- Provide strategic leadership for SafeChoice housing services, ensuring programs are survivor-centered, trauma-informed, accessible, and aligned with YWCA Clark Countys mission, values, contract obligations, and domestic violence best practices.
- Direct the planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of housing programs, including eviction prevention or diversion, rapid re-housing, transitional housing, and related housing supports.
- Manage SafeChoice housing budgets across multiple funding streams, including City, County, State, and Federal contracts, and foundation grants. Partner with the Vice President of Domestic Violence Services, Chief Financial Officer, and other staff to monitor expenditures, maintain spending goals, provide accurate monthly updates, and adjust spending plans to maintain contract compliance.
- Establish, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, workflows, and quality assurance practices that meet applicable contract, grant, Washington Administrative Code, confidentiality, mandatory reporting, VAWA, HUD, HMIS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Ensure housing assessments and services are delivered in a trauma-informed manner by developing intentional coverage, support, and service coordination plans that promote welcoming, calm, and survivor-focused environments.
- Supervise, coach, and support direct reports through regular individual check-ins, team meetings, debriefings, performance feedback, and accountability practices that strengthen staff effectiveness, wellbeing, and alignment with program expectations.
- Support staff development by identifying leadership opportunities, encouraging skill-building, and coordinating cross-training with other domestic violence service areas, including shelter, hotline, legal advocacy, and other community-based services.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor training plans for SafeChoice Housing staff, volunteers, and interns to ensure required domestic violence training, service standards, confidentiality expectations, and reporting requirements are met.
- Lead coordination with the Director of Shelter Services, Director of Domestic Violence Community Services, and other agency leaders to strengthen access, service continuity, cross-program collaboration, and responsive support for survivors.
- Represent SafeChoice housing services with community partners, including domestic violence providers, housing providers, funders, and local social service agencies; provide program information, statistics, and updates as appropriate.
- Oversee program data quality, tracking, reporting, and documentation through Infonet, Empower DB, or other required databases to support compliance, funding requirements, program evaluation, and service improvement.
- Identify and respond to health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, property damage, and other risk management concerns in accordance with workplace policies and procedures.
- Manage housing-related projects, applications, reports, presentations, and program initiatives while maintaining strategic focus, meeting deadlines, and communicating progress to the Vice President of Domestic Violence Services.
- Ensure programs follow best practice models based on the Clark County Homeless Crisis Response System (HCRS), Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) and others as applicable.
- Partner with communications staff to share clear, accessible information through social media and other outreach platforms about available services and housing assessment opportunities. Promote understanding of how YWCA Clark Countys mission connects to safe, affordable housing and addresses the impacts of racism, domestic violence, discrimination, and housing instability.
- Provide additional director-level support for SafeChoice services, staff coverage, program needs, and agency priorities as assigned.

Education and Experience
Optional Bachelor's degree in a related field or position equivalent experience in addition to the experience requirements listed below.
Required experience:
- Two years of experience working with rental subsidy programs.
- Two years of experience providing advocacy to survivors/victim services within a domestic violence program.
- One year of experience providing effective coaching, guidance, leadership, supervision to staff and/or volunteers.
- Minimum of fifty hours of training on domestic violence issues and advocacy within the last three years.
General Requirements
- Complete and pass a background check;
- Complete the training requirements, pursuant to WAC 388-61A-1085;
- Ability to commute in Clark County, WA and other areas as needed for work purposes.
