What You'll Do

As a Surgical Technologist in Sterile Processing, you'll be a key player in ensuring every instrument that reaches a patient is safe, sterile, and ready for use. You'll also help guide the team and support the manager with daily workflow needs.

You will:

• Participate in receiving, processing, delivering, tracking, and preparing safe instrumentation for hospital and patient use
• Decontaminate and sterilize instruments, medical supplies, and equipment
• Assemble, wrap, and sterilize instrument trays with accuracy and attention to detail
• Follow all Standard Precautions in decontamination and sterilization areas
• Monitor biological and chemical wash solutions to ensure consistent, high-quality processing
• Use the instrument tracking system to update and maintain accurate instrument details
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting before escalating to Biomed or OEM
• Provide direction and coordination to personnel during assigned shifts
• Provide daily station assignments to support smooth departmental workflow
• Assist with quality assessments and help identify training and educational opportunities for staff

What You'll Need

Minimum

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Current BLS certification

Preferred

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) NBSTSA
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) HSPA
• Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist
