Aston Carter is partnering with one of our manufacturing clients in Chicago to identify a Procurement Coordinator to support day-to-day purchasing and sourcing operations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring materials are sourced, ordered, and delivered on time to support ongoing production and business needs.

• Manage the full purchase order lifecycle, including creation, updates, and order tracking
• Source materials for non-stock and urgent (spot buy) needs while ensuring cost and lead-time efficiency
• Expedite orders and proactively resolve delays or supply disruptions impacting production
• Monitor open orders, past-due items, and short-term demand forecasts
• Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
• Partner with internal teams (operations, production, customer service) to align on demand and project needs
• Resolve invoicing discrepancies in collaboration with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Maintain accurate procurement records and system updates
• Identify alternate suppliers or materials for discontinued or constrained items
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement processes and documentation requirements

• 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or order management (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Experience managing purchase orders and vendor relationships
• SAP/ERP
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills
• Excellent communication and follow-up abilities
• Self-starter with a sense of urgency and professionalism

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL 60632.

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $26.44/hr.
