Senior Field Service Technician

Job Description As a Sr Field Service Technician here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to provide high-level technical support and service to our customers, ensuring the optimal performance of Honeywell products and systems. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, perform maintenance and repairs, and provide training and guidance to customers and junior technicians. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and reliability of our service operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and support the growth of our business by ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. Responsibilities Support the maintenance and repair of distribution center equipment, including conveyor systems, alongside experienced technicians Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of systems (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and material handling equipment) Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and Lockout/Tagout practices, to maintain a safe work environment Operate powered equipment such as forklifts, conveyor systems, and other machinery as needed Document work performed, including service logs, work orders, and system updates, using computer-based systems Identify and resolve technical issues, escalating or collaborating with other teams when needed to ensure timely solutions Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customer service to provide updates on equipment status and repairs Help maintain a clean and organized workspace, including shop areas and equipment zones Assist with maintaining inventory of tools, parts, and safety equipment Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by following processes and suggesting enhancements when appropriate Participate in training and may support the development of technical documentation Be comfortable working at heights using proper fall protection equipment Flexibility to work different shifts, overtime, and holidays as needed Occasional travel for training and development (encouraged for skill growth) Qualifications 2-4 years of conveyor mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience 2-4 years of conveyor electrical troubleshooting and repair experience 2-4 years of experience with MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) for business Valid Driver's License Preferred High school diploma, equivalent required Experience with Honeywell products and systems Customer-focused mindset Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to train and mentor junior technicians Physical Job Requirements The ability to lift 25 pounds individually and 50 pounds as a two-person team The ability to carry required tools and tool bag (10-15lbs) regularly for extended periods and distances The ability to spend long periods of time standing and/or walking on concrete and other surfaces The ability to work above your head for extended periods while standing, laying, or seated (e.g., 30 minutes) and lifting weights listed above your head The ability to move safely in confined spaces which may require crawling on hands and knees The ability to safely climb/descend ladders and stairs frequently The ability to work on a ladder for extended periods of time The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly, including but not limited to safety shoes, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles/face shield, hearing protection, safety harness, ARC Flash suits, chemical and/or cut resistant gloves Benefits In addition to a competitive salary, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes employer‑subsidized Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance; Short‑Term and Long‑Term Disability; 401(k) match; Flexible Spending Accounts; Health Savings Accounts; EAP; Educational Assistance; Parental Leave; Paid Time Off (vacation, personal business, sick time, and parental leave); and 12 paid holidays.
