Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description

As a Reach Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a Reach Truck forklift in a storage cooler with temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees. Your duties will include operating a Crown Forklift, picking orders, and staging materials efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate Reach Truck forklift in minus 20 degree storage cooler.
• Operate a Crown Forklift.
• Pick and stage orders.
• Manage inventory using electric pallet jack and cherry pick.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating a Crown Reach forklift.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in similar roles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bilingual skills are a plus, though English or Spanish proficiency alone is acceptable.

Work Environment

The facility is located in Medley and operates as a food distribution center. Employees work in a cold environment, with the front area temperatures ranging from 40 to 45 degrees and the back area where Reach Truck Operators work most of the day at minus 20 degrees. It's a fast-paced environment, especially during the busy season from July to November. Safety is a priority, requiring steel-toed boots and appropriate gear for the cold temperatures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medley, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
