Senior Analyst

Senior Analysts at ESI support the production of consulting reports within project teams through analysis, research, writing and data visualization. Senior Analysts are involved in all facets of ESI project work, contributing to the development and refinement of project approaches, implementing analysis, and working on client-facing deliverables. Senior Analysts have opportunities to develop their skills and further their careers through interaction with clients and staff and external professional development opportunities. Job functions Gather data and conduct statistical analysis with limited oversight and direction Identify and summarize technical and policy research Perform economic and statistical modeling Propose, refine and execute project methodologies Draft and edit materials (reports, memos, presentations) that are client-ready in quality Interface with clients and project partners as needed to gather data, present methodologies and findings, and address project questions Play a supporting role in project management, helping our team meet project timelines and milestones and delegating / managing the work of other team members as appropriate Required skills Data Analysis: Advanced use of relevant statistical and economic techniques to produce analytical results from large or complex datasets. Written and Verbal Communications: Composition of clear, accurate and professional written reports and correspondence, ability to convey and present complex information clearly Research: Identify, synthesize and describe relevant literature, best practices or data points to advance project objectives and analytical models. Information Presentation / Visualization: High-quality production of tables, figures, visuals and presentations in standard (Word, PPT) and advanced platforms. Technical Software: Proficiency in technical tools (R, GIS, Python, etc.) to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of analysis and information presentation.
