Journey Well! We are seeking a C&I Commercial Loan Officer to develop commercial business, build client relationships, and manage a commercial loan portfolio while identifying growth opportunities and representing the Bank in the community. Essential Job Functions Business Development Develops new business within the Bank’s market area and builds referral relationships with professional and community partners. Promotes Bank lending, deposit, and other financial products and services to attract and retain quality clients. Evaluates loan applicants, analyzes financial information, structures and negotiates credit terms, and monitors repayment. Portfolio Management Manages the Commercial loan portfolio, proactively identifying and mitigating risk while ensuring compliance with Bank policies. Partners with Credit and Commercial Administration to prepare loan packages, obtain approvals, coordinate closings, and ensure loan conditions are met. Maintains accurate credit files and ensures timely collection and analysis of annual financial information. Customer Focus Participates in civic, social and community relations activities to promote and strengthen the image of the bank within the Bank’s footprint and reasonable proximity. Maintains a high visibility profile for the bank within the business and professional communities at large. Requirements Qualifications, Education, and Experience Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible Commercial Lending and Commercial Banking experience; Bachelor’s degree in business preferred. Formal Commercial Credit and/or Sales training preferred. Strong knowledge of credit structure, bank lending policies, credit risk assessment, and risk management. Strong organizational, planning, time management, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook. Demonstrated professionalism and maturity when working with customers, employees, vendors, and Board members.
