About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Land Development to join their team. This key leadership role is not just a project management position, but a true seat at the table where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive strategy, mentor teams, and influence the direction of the business. The ideal candidate will have a Professional Engineer (PE) license, at least 8 years' of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development, and a proven track record in leading engineering teams and managing client relationships. Responsibilities include taking ownership of an existing book of business, leading and mentoring a team, overseeing various development projects, and driving business development efforts. The role requires a strong background in site development, grading, stormwater, and permitting, as well as experience with Civil 3D and related design software. A strategic and business-minded approach to project delivery and team management is essential, and experience in business development, account management, or revenue growth is highly preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to ensure technical quality, project profitability, and successful delivery, while also helping to shape the strategic direction of the land development practice.
