MRI Technologist II

Role Overview As an MRI Technologist II, you will perform routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures, demonstrating clinical competency across all locations and patient populations. You will select appropriate technical factors, administer contrast, and support invasive procedures under MRI guidance. Your responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, maintaining departmental supplies, and supporting quality assurance activities. You will transport and position patients, communicate effectively to promote understanding, and process exams for interpretation. Additionally, you will participate in training, performance improvement initiatives, and uphold safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills Associate's degree or higher; certificate in Radiologic Technology or MRI from an accredited program required. 3-4 years of MRI experience, with ability to independently perform all protocols. Certification in ARMRIT or ARRT (MRI) required upon hire; internal candidates with extensive experience may be considered. Knowledge of MRI principles, anatomy, patient care, and safety protocols. Strong communication, professionalism, and teamwork skills. Licenses and certifications such as BLS, ARMRIT/ARRT, and MRI-specific credentials required. Key Duties Performing MRI procedures adhering to safety and quality standards. Supporting departmental and organizational performance improvements. Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring proper patient preparation. Documenting activities accurately and ensuring timely image processing.
