CT Technologist II

Role Overview The CT Technologist II is responsible for delivering high-quality, safe imaging services in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Perform clinical CT procedures across various locations and patient populations, selecting appropriate technical factors and adhering to radiation safety principles. Administer contrast agents, assist with invasive CT-guided procedures, and ensure equipment functionality through quality control. Coordinate patient care, communicate effectively, and provide patient education and emotional support. Maintain a clean, safe work environment, prepare examination rooms, and ensure proper documentation and image distribution. Participate in departmental performance initiatives and training activities, embodying professionalism and ethical standards. Qualifications & Skills Associate degree or equivalent, with certification in Radiologic Technology and CT from accredited programs. ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) registration or NMTCB (CT) certification required; 10 years of CT experience for internal candidates employed prior to a specified date. CPR/BLS certification, knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, and regulatory standards. Less than 6 months to 1 year of CT experience required, with successful completion of relevant training or cross-training programs preferred. Key Skills Technical proficiency in CT imaging and patient positioning. Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care orientation.
