Level 2 Data Center Technician

Location: Denver, CO (Onsite)

Job Type: Long-Term Contract(W2 Only)

Experience: 3+ Years

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Level 2 Data Center Technician to join our team in Denver, CO . This is a long-term contract opportunity with strong potential for permanent employment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting enterprise or hyper scale data center environments and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-critical setting.

Responsibilities

Install, rack, stack, and cable servers, network, and storage equipment.
Perform hardware installations, upgrades, replacements, and decommissions.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues on servers and network devices.
Execute break/fix activities and preventive maintenance.
Manage structured copper and fiber cabling, including labeling and documentation.
Support IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities.
Perform equipment audits, inventory management, and asset tracking.
Work with remote engineering teams to execute maintenance and deployment tasks.
Follow change management, safety, and data center operational procedures.
Provide timely updates and maintain accurate documentation of completed work.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Data Center Technician or in a similar infrastructure support role.
Experience with server hardware from Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, or Supermicro.
Strong understanding of structured cabling, fiber optics, and rack infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and component replacement.
Familiarity with enterprise networking fundamentals and data center best practices.
Ability to lift upto 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting hyper scale data centers.
Knowledge of ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
Experience with remote hands support and hardware lifecycle management.
