Registered Dental Hygienist – Join a Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Practice in the Des Moines Metro
Summit Family Dental is seeking a skilled and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our 3-provider General Practice in Ankeny (Des Moines Metro). We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to work with a team that deeply cares about their patients. Summit Family Dental is a locally owned private practice operated by Dr. Brad Millard and Dr. Nate Leinen. We have grown into a dynamic 3-provider office that provides quality, custom dental services to adults and children. We cultivate a team-focused, drama-free atmosphere where we believe we have the best team in the metro. We offer a beautiful, modern office space and a culture that supports professional growth.

Requirements
- Experienced Dental Hygienist (1+ years)
- General Dentistry
- Licensed dental hygienist
- Other Dental Software
Licensure: Must possess a clean and current Dental Hygiene license issued by the Iowa Dental Board.
Certification: Must hold a valid license to administer local anesthesia.
Soft Skills: A strong commitment to teamwork and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Job Description
Clinical Care: Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance in a busy setting.
Anesthesia: Administer local anesthesia as needed for patient comfort during procedures.
Patient Education: Educate patients of all ages on oral hygiene strategies and preventative care to maintain optimal oral health.
Assessment: Conduct oral health assessments, screen for periodontal disease, and take necessary dental radiographs.
Sterilization: Maintain a safe and sterile work environment in compliance with state and OSHA regulations.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the providers and the rest of the team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
