Warehouse Coordinator

Warehouse Administrator / Hilo Driver

Location: Canton, MI Shift: 8am-5pm Mon-Fri (1 hour lunch daily) Pay: $20 an hour

Position Summary: A growing, stable, family-oriented company in Canton, Michigan is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Administrator / Hilo Driver to join our team. This position combines warehouse administration, inventory management, customer service, shipping coordination, and forklift operation responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Essential Responsibilities

Warehouse Administration

• Process customer orders and generate all related shipping and receiving documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update warehouse management systems.
• Verify order accuracy and review special customer requests.
• Process and maintain paperwork related to receiving, warehousing, and shipping activities.
• Prepare reports regarding inventory, order status, and warehouse operations.

Customer & Vendor Support

• Communicate with customers, vendors, and carriers via phone, email, and in person.
• Provide shipment updates, order tracking information, and inventory status reports.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to orders, inventory, and deliveries.
• Notify management of customer-requested changes regarding shipping, handling, or administrative requirements.

Shipping & Logistics

• Coordinate routine and expedited shipments with transportation providers.
• Manage last-minute shipping requests and prioritize urgent customer needs.
• Track shipments and communicate delivery status updates to customers.
• Assist with product routing and logistics planning.

Warehouse Operations

• Operate a forklift (Hilo) to move, stage, load, and unload materials as needed.
• Support receiving, warehousing, order picking, and material handling activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with additional warehouse and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six months of warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or administrative experience preferred.
• Previous forklift (Hilo) experience preferred.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
• Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
