About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 5 years in critical care License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required - AHA only Must-Have: Experience with multiple ICU units (Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, etc.). Basic Arrhythmia experience. Telemetry test must be passed prior to clearance to start. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse who is looking to join a team in a Magnet certified hospital and a Level 1 Trauma Center. This position requires working evening and night shifts, with a rotation of every other weekend and some holidays. Experience in various critical care settings is essential, as the nurse will float to different ICU units including Trauma Life Center, Burn ICU, Neuro ICU, and Cardiac ICU. Strong support from interdisciplinary teams will be available, including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Rapid Response Teams. The RN must demonstrate competency in accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, ventilator management, and care of the patient on ECMO. Additional skills include managing central lines, blood product administration, and interpretation of dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. Experience with adult populations in ICU settings is required. Travel experience is preferred. Candidate must be available to meet the needs of a high acuity patient population. A telemetry exam will be required prior to start, with specific criteria for passing. All travelers must float as needed, with a minimum of two years of acute care experience in the specialty.
