Friarsgate-Ballentine Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team!

This is an excellent opportunity for s killed technicians eager to fully utilize their surgical and anesthesia expertise while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

In this role, you will:

• Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
• Ensure an efficient surgical and procedural workflow, anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and patients.
• Communicate with clients to review treatment plans, answer questions, and provide discharge instructions with empathy and clarity.

This role is ideal for detail-oriented technicians who are passionate about anesthesia and are ready to work at the top of their license in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Schedule: This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday with rotating weekends 1-2 times a month.

• Compensation: $19 - 22 per hour, for each hour worked*

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of South Carolina
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement
  • Inpatient care
  • Performing dental prophylaxis (including scaling, polishing, and radiography and charting)
