Job Summary

AYS Inc is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Development Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with youth and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, with the potential for occasional evening and weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities and programs for children and teens
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all youth participants
• Build relationships with youth and serve as a positive role model and mentor
• Collaborate with other staff members to plan and coordinate program events and field trips
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of youth attendance and program activities
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on youth participation and progress
• Assist in the supervision and management of youth during program hours
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
• Adhere to all AYS Inc policies and procedures, including safety protocols and code of conduct

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social work, education, or related field preferred

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with youth in a professional setting

Strong understanding of child and adolescent development

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well in a team and independently

Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Pass a criminal background check and drug screening
