Job Summary

AYS Inc is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Development Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with youth and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, with the potential for occasional evening and weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities and programs for children and teens
Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all youth participants
Build relationships with youth and serve as a positive role model and mentor
Collaborate with other staff members to plan and coordinate program events and field trips
Maintain accurate records and documentation of youth attendance and program activities
Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on youth participation and progress
Assist in the supervision and management of youth during program hours
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
Adhere to all AYS Inc policies and procedures, including safety protocols and code of conduct

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social work, education, or related field preferred

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with youth in a professional setting

Strong understanding of child and adolescent development

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well in a team and independently

Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Pass a criminal background check and drug screening
