ServiceSource is an organization of talented people who drive innovation, embrace change, and* *strengthen communities**.*The employment consultant provides a variety of community-based employment services to individuals with disabilities seeking to become employed, advance within their current position, or reenter employment.**Primary Duties****Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.** These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.* Provide job exploration counseling by providing the career scope, (a standardized, timed interest and aptitude assessment for education and career guidance) and generate a report summarizing each assessment result.* Build and maintain professional and productive relationships with participants, members of participants support network, and funding/referral sources providing ongoing communication, soliciting input, requesting satisfaction surveys and providing thorough documented reports.* Develop relationships with current and potential employers resulting in knowledge of current employment, assessment, and training opportunities for participants.* Maintain files according to policy and procedures to ensure consistent standards are met for regulatory entities.* Develop, implement, and document individualized service plans for individuals to include skills training, pre-employment training, situational assessments, job development, job coaching, and long-term support for both competitive and supported employment.**Additional Responsibilities*** Assist in marketing activities by submitting stories for social media and newsletters and creating materials.* Participate in community activities and/or provider events coordinated by referral agencies.* Perform other responsibilities as assigned.**Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)*** Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related Human Services field plus a minimum of 2 years related experience with program development and training working with individuals with disabilities required.* Valid driver’s license, per state law, and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR).**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*** Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to become familiar with corporate specific programs and software.* Detail-oriented and able to carry out work with the highest levels of accuracy.* Must be a self-starter and be able to develop service plans for individuals with a variety of disabilities and required accommodations.* Must possess time management and interpersonal skills.* Excellent oral/verbal communication skills.**Physical Demands**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. **Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.**Work Environment**While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
