We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Our restaurant is a fast-paced, high-volume dining destination known for chef-created pizzas, savory appetizers, and entrees inspired by the freshest local ingredients. We pride ourselves on a from-scratch kitchen where everything from our house-made dough to our specialty sausage is prepared on-site and cooked to perfection in a stone oven.
As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of quality and consistency. You will assist in leading a team of passionate culinary professionals, ensuring that every dish meets our strict specifications. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who balances operational efficiency with a genuine passion for the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operations of a scratch kitchen, including the preparation of hand-crafted dough, sauces, and locally sourced ingredients like fresh Maine lobster.
- Oversee the execution of menu items cooked in our stone oven, ensuring optimum flavor combinations and visual appeal.
- Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and quality control guidelines.
- Collaborate with management to identify trends, control food costs, and optimize kitchen efficiency.
