Sr Director, Clinical Excellence Group Lead (I&I)

Pfizer seeks an experienced clinical development leader to serve as Senior Director of the Clinical Excellence Group within Inflammation & Immunology. This strategic role encompasses team leadership, portfolio management, and driving AI-enabled innovation across complex dermatology clinical programs while maintaining scientific integrity and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor clinical scientists team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning
- Drive digital transformation and adoption of innovative tools while maintaining scientific rigor
- Oversee clinical execution, integrity, and quality of complex dermatology pipeline studies
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions and optimize resource allocation
- Direct implementation of AI/ML tools for protocol design, patient recruitment, safety prediction, and trial optimization
Requirements
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree (PhD, PharmD, or equivalent)
- 10+ years progressive clinical research and development in pharma or biotech
- Proven people leadership experience building and mentoring high-performing teams
- Demonstrated ability to bridge clinical science with business operations and solve complex challenges
- Strategic or applied experience with AI, machine learning, automation, or advanced analytics
- Exceptional executive presence and influence across matrixed organizations
- Experience supporting global clinical programs in regulated GxP environments
