Description of the Role:

The General Motors Transmission Technician at Mark Sweeney Buick GMC is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing transmission systems in General Motors vehicles. They work closely with other members of the service department to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain the reputation of the dealership.

Responsibilities:

• Performing diagnostic tests to identify transmission issues
• Repairing or replacing faulty transmission components
• Performing routine maintenance on transmission systems
• Documenting all services performed and maintaining accurate records
• Communicating with customers regarding the status of their vehicles
• Collaborating with the service department to ensure efficient workflow

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a transmission technician or in a similar role
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing transmission systems in General Motors vehicles
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools effectively
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
