William Ashworth State Farm is looking for a driven, entrepreneurial individual to join our Lakeland agency as an Agency Intern-Future Agency Owner . The ideal candidate has long-term leadership goals, is motivated by performance, enjoys working with people, and wants hands-on exposure to sales, customer relationships, business development, and agency operations.

What You’ll Learn

What You’ll Do

• Connect with prospective customers through warm and outbound lead activity.
• Build relationships with new and existing customers.
• Ask questions to understand customer needs and identify potential insurance solutions.
• Learn how to explain insurance products and coverage options clearly.
• Assist with account reviews and customer follow-up.
• Generate and follow up on leads.
• Participate in sales conversations and develop confidence asking for the business.
• Track activity and results while working toward measurable production goals.
• Learn how customer retention, sales, service, and marketing work together to grow an agency.
• Participate in coaching, training, and development with agency leadership.
• Gain exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities involved in operating a successful State Farm agency.

Licensing

Because insurance sales will be an important part of your development, candidates should be willing to obtain the appropriate insurance licenses required for the role.

Licensing provides an opportunity to gain practical experience working directly with customers and developing the product knowledge necessary for long-term success in the insurance industry.
