The Inside Sales Representative promotes and maintains sales by originating and developing leads and performing sales remotely, over the phone or email. He/she will provide customer service and serves as customer service points of contact as well as handle collections for analysis and dissemination of customer information on product movement, demand, prices, marketing trends./ph3Responsibilities of the Inside Sales Representative Position/h3pResponsible for selling products for distribution to business and industrial establishments or individuals at sales office, store, or showroom./ppServes as the primary contact for customers, maintains customer relationships and addresses all issues with assigned customer base./ppManages assigned customer accounts and builds relationships to grow business opportunities with the customer./ppAssesses and maximizes the buying potential, profitability and product/service requirements of customers by creating a sales strategy and action plan./ppDevelops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to identify leads to increase the sales of products and services./ppPartners with customers within assigned territories to identify long and short-term needs./ppMaintains customer records using appropriate automated systems./ppSchedules and performs cold calls and calls to existing customers in assigned territory./ppHighlights product features based on technical knowledge of product capabilities./ppAnswers customers questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses./ppDevelops effective relationships with customers, providing complaint resolution./ppRegularly monitors customer satisfaction with quality of products, services deliveries./ppDevelops or enters formal quotations into appropriate system or format./ppNegotiates certain pricing/ agreements, following guidelines and/or approvals./ppFollows up with all quotes in a timely manner and according to policy./ppFacilitates execution of accepted agreements, coordinating with operations to ensure all terms are followed./ppRegularly updates on industry knowledge including potential customers, competitors, as well as business trends through trade association events and industry publications./ppMaintains working knowledge of company products, services, equipment, programs and corporate policies procedures to successfully communicate with customers./ppInteracts with other members of the sales and operations team to assist in penetrating specific territory or market to increase sales levels and contractual opportunities./ppResponsible for adhering to safety processes and protocols./ph3Requirements of the Inside Sales Representative Position/h3p2-5 years of relevant experience or any combination of education and work experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities./ppHigh School diploma/GED required; Bachelor degree preferred./ppKnowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services required./ppKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service preferred./ppKnowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques./ppKnowledge of metals industry, company product(s) and their uses preferred./ppAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively required./ppAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions professionally./ppExcellent oral, written communication skills, strong virtual presence and listening skills./ppStrong analytical and problem-solving skills preferred./ppAbility to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, multiplication, ratios and proportions to practical situations required./ppAbility to make sound decisions based on a combination of factors including analysis, knowledge and experience, and judgment required./ppStrong computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft applications required./ppUpdated resume is required for consideration.
