Job Description
Title: Echocardiogram Technologist

Schedule:
Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Assignment Details:
Contract Weeks: 143

Requirements:
- Associates Degree from accredited cardiac ultrasound program or RDCS/RCS eligible background with 1 year of cardiac echo experience.
- Certification through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) in Adult Echocardiography.
- Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform all basic adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures.
- Edit tracings and make measurements, entering data into the computer.
- Distinguish between normal and abnormal cardiac findings.
- Perform cardiac sonographer duties, recognizing arrhythmias and the implications of specific cardiac and related diagnoses to obtain optimal studies.

Compliance / Notes:
Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color.
