On-Site Fire Project Manager

What you will do As an On Site Field Project Manager, for our Fire division, you will lead complex fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects in commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, and military facilities. You are responsible for setup of local project offices, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, and facilitation. You manage schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer expectations/satisfaction. You present to management and/or customers on project updates, project cycle, and expected results. You ensure projects are closed on time and in scope. How you will do it You oversee and communicate the on‑site project progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation. You develop a comprehensive project plan to meet schedules and budgets, conduct work‑in‑progress meetings, understand and follow all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications, ensure AHJ requirements and departmental/SOX procedures are followed, coordinate change orders, and work toward overall margin improvement on every job. What we look for High school diploma or equivalent. At least 5 years’ of project management or installation experience in construction or electrical field. Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Project). Ability to create Excel spreadsheets, reference data in other spreadsheets, and create macros is required. Available for frequent local travel. Preferred: Certificate or diploma in a related field (Fire & Life Safety, Electrical/Electronic; Security). Certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred. Project Management Professional certification will be obtained within two years of employment in the position. NICET Level II may be obtained within one year of employment. Salary & Benefits Competitive salary: $89,400–130k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
