St. David's Health Care is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a well-established practice in Austin, TX. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia services within a care team model at St. David's Medical Center and other affiliated hospitals. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a renowned medical center recognized for its cardiac and neuroscience institutes. Practice Info Practice provides anesthesia services at St. David's Medical Center, North Austin Medical Center, South Austin Hospital, and Round Rock Medical Center Diverse group composed of anesthesiologists and CRNAs Anesthesia services provided following a care team model Responsibilities Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Compensation Salary: $440,000+ ~$130,000 productivity and call pay (total ~$570,000) Premium pay over 40 hours Cardiac specialty stipend: $50,000 Sign on Incentive: $50,000 Benefits Generous paid time off Generous benefits package, including: Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance Flexible Spending Accounts / Health Savings Accounts 401(k) Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage Leadership and professional development opportunities Shift & Schedule 50 hours per week; including call Requirements M.D./D.O.
