Growing together.Work Hours: Monday- Friday, 8 AM- 5 PMLocation: 510 Fort Worth Dr, Denton, TX 76201Primary Responsibilities:Interact with internal and external customers in a courteous manner in person and via telephone (approximately 200 calls/day)Complete check in and check out tasksSchedule new and existing patientsVerify insurance and complete pre-authorizations and/or precertification of proceduresAnswer back-line telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns and take messages as needed. Sorting of documents received via facsimile and distribution of incoming postal mailScanning of all patients' (demographic) paperwork to patient chart and assist with batch scan filingEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the publicPerform other duties as assignedPhysical Demands & Working Conditions:Work requires hand dexterity for computer, telephone and other office machine operation, stooping and bending for supplies, sitting for extended periods of time. Prolonged computer use may cause eyestrainWork is performed in an office environment and involves frequent telephone and consistent face-to-face contact with patientsWork may be stressful at timesInteraction with others is constant and interruptiveIndividuals may be required to travel to other locations for coverage as dictated by needContact involves dealing with sick peopleYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED1+ year of customer serviceBasic level of experience with MS OfficePreferred Qualifications:1+ years of medical business office experienceExperience with EMR computer applicationsExcellent customer service skills, computer skillsExcellent CPT and ICD-9 coding skillsGeneral knowledge of medical terminologyFamiliarity with medical billing and collection proceduresPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
