Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, utilizing various tools and techniques to identify patients’ needs and formulate effective treatment plans.

• Provide brief, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address mental health challenges, while continually monitoring patient progress and adapting treatment strategies as necessary.

• Collaborate with Primary Care Providers (PCPs) as a behavioral health consultant, ensuring integrated care that addresses both physical and mental health needs.

• Utilize the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning, applying appropriate clinical interventions based on established guidelines.

• Maintain thorough clinical documentation and adhere to telehealth protocols, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

• Engage in continual professional development, staying informed of the latest best practices, therapeutic techniques, and resources available in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve a varied patient population, including individuals and families affected by mental health conditions and those facing challenges related to substance use. Your role will entail working with adults, veterans, and families from diverse backgrounds, necessitating a culturally sensitive approach that respects individual differences and life experiences.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.

• Proven ability to engage in all aspects of clinical practice, including intake, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care.

• Minimum of one year of experience working directly with psychiatric patients or substance abuse populations.

• Familiarity with professional counseling practices and principles, especially those related to human development and wellness.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 60,000 – 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
