Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures and safety standards.
• Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient.
• Prepare samples for laboratory testing, maintaining accurate records and documentation of collections.
• Create a professional, safe, and welcoming environment for patients during specimen collection.
• Travel between multiple sites as scheduled, demonstrating punctuality and reliability.
• Maintain compliance with all policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment and adhere to dress code policies.

Required Skills

• Proven phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections, with 1-3 years of experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and confidently.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver license with a clean driving record.
• Basic keyboard and data entry skills to accurately record patient and collection information.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Flexible availability to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call hours.
• Willingness to travel between multiple sites; mileage reimbursement available for site-to-site travel.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing schedules efficiently.
