Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist position offering 24-30 hours per week on a contract basis in Edwardsville, IL. The role involves managing typical retail pharmacy duties including prescription filling, verification, and patient counseling. The schedule includes Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM; Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM; and Sundays reserved for emergency orders only. Additionally, on-call coverage is required Sundays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with on-call compensation provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill, check, and verify prescriptions
- Provide patient counseling on medications and proper usage
- Manage emergency orders on Sundays as needed
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards
- Support smooth daily pharmacy operations
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Pharmacy License required
- PharmD degree preferred
- Experience with PioneerRx software highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Sunday: Emergency orders only, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM on-call with hourly pay
