Valley Hospital is located in the center corridor in the heart of the Las Vegas Medical District (LVMD) with 306 acute care beds, including a 48-bed behavioral health unit. Job Description:

As a licensed and registered pharmacist, the resident shall complete the hospital's pharmacy residency training program that is designed to meet the guidelines and accreditation standards of ASHP. The resident shall provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services through drug distribution and clinical services, medication order verification and filling and staff education.

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy in the United States (or one in process of pursuing accreditation) or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC)
certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of hospital based information system, reporting features, Microsoft Office and Pyxis technology.

License/Certification:

Current Pharmacist license in the State of Nevada (obtained within 90 days of starting residency). A current Pharmacy Intern license in the State of Nevada must be maintained during the interim. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting residency.
