Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Systems Analyst 3 / Data Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise data integration solutions.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, Snowflake, ETL/ELT development, data integration, source-to-target mapping, data quality, and production support .

The candidate will work with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements, analyze existing processes, develop scalable integration solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and support enterprise data pipelines within a structured SDLC environment.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business objectives, user requirements, operational procedures, and data-processing needs.
Identify alternative technical solutions and participate in cost/benefit analysis.
Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise data integration solutions.
Develop and maintain Informatica PowerCenter ETL workflows , including mappings, sessions, workflows, and reusable transformations.
Integrate data from heterogeneous sources such as:
- Flat files
- APIs
- Relational databases
- Mainframe extracts
Load and integrate data into Oracle databases and Snowflake environments.
Develop and optimize Oracle SQL/PL-SQL , including stored procedures and packages.
Perform ETL query and pipeline performance tuning.
Develop cloud-based ETL/ELT solutions using Informatica Cloud Data Integration (IICS) .
Design source-to-target mappings and document data flows and technical specifications.
Troubleshoot data quality issues, failed ETL jobs, and production performance bottlenecks.
Monitor and support scheduled batch data-processing jobs.
Work with scheduling/orchestration tools such as Control-M, AutoSys, or Informatica Scheduler .
Collaborate with business users, developers, data teams, and other technical stakeholders.
Prepare detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and system changes.
Evaluate existing system capabilities and determine the feasibility of requested enhancements.
Follow formal SDLC and change-management processes .

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in each of the following areas:

Data Engineering / Systems Analysis in an enterprise environment.
Designing, developing, and supporting data integration solutions.
Informatica PowerCenter ETL development.
Informatica mappings, sessions, workflows, and reusable transformations.
Data ingestion from multiple heterogeneous source systems.
Oracle SQL/PL-SQL , including stored procedures, packages, and performance tuning.
Snowflake , including data loading, schema design, and query optimization.
Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica Cloud Data Integration (IICS) for cloud ETL/ELT.
Gathering data requirements and creating source-to-target mappings .
Documenting data flows and design specifications.
Troubleshooting data-quality issues and ETL job failures.
Resolving performance bottlenecks in production ETL pipelines.
Batch-job scheduling/orchestration using Control-M, AutoSys, Informatica Scheduler, or similar tools .

3+ years of experience with SAP BusinessObjects Universe design and/or maintenance .
3+ years of experience working in a state government or large enterprise IT environment .
Experience working within formal SDLC and change-management processes .
