Radiology Technologist
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Requirements: A.S. Degree preferred but not required; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification preferred; must obtain within one year from date of hire; Massachusetts License to practice Radiologic Technology required; CPR Certification required; Ability to read and communicate effectively in English; additional languages preferred; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Basic computer knowledge
Roles & Responsibilities: Ensure accurate demographic information and high-quality images for CT and Mammography exams. Perform daily quality assurance (QA) for CT and Mammography to ensure regulatory compliance. Operate the hospital PACS system to ensure correct image transmission for radiologist readings. Review physician orders to confirm the correct examinations are performed based on clinical history. Maintain a safe environment for patients and reduce fall risks, especially for elderly patients. Communicate effectively with patients, taking into account potential hearing and comprehension difficulties.
