About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP Fintech Lending Counsel to join its Legal Department and provide expert legal advice and support for its Fintech sponsored lending activities. The successful candidate will be a key member of the team, responsible for advising on the full spectrum of sponsored lending products, with a focus on Bank-Fintech partnership models. This includes product design, implementation, servicing, and ongoing program support. The role demands a high level of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to ensure that all activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and supervisory guidance. The VP Fintech Lending Counsel will also be involved in drafting and negotiating a variety of legal agreements and will be expected to stay abreast of legal, regulatory, and marketplace trends that impact Fintech credit products. Applicants must have a law degree, be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in banking, financial services, and Fintech law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advising on the launch and implementation of Fintech lending products, particularly those related to Bank-Fintech partnerships. Deep knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as TILA, ECOA, and the Military Lending Act, is essential. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work with highly confidential information, and a proven track record of providing practical, business-oriented legal guidance. The VP Fintech Lending Counsel will be expected to demonstrate strong judgment, produce high-quality legal work, and integrate seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
