Role Overview Are you a builder? We are seeking a Bilingual Learning & Development Designer to shape how our team learns, grows, and stays connected across our field and office teams. This isn't a role where you maintain and improve an existing process, but instead create something from nothing. Sitting at the intersection of field operations and instructional design, you will get your boots dirty, visit our construction sites, and learn our labor roles first‑hand to bring structure and clarity. This role will be responsible for the end‑to‑end strategy, design, and execution of training and development experience. The goal is to ensure teammates have access to clear, engaging, and up‑to‑date learning material that drives performance, consistency, and culture. This role is 100% onsite in Grand Prairie, TX. Education Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Communications, Pyscology or a related field preferred. Technical certifications in video production, multimedia design, or eLearning development are a plus. Experience Bilingual (Spanish): Must be fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal.) Ability to translate complex technical and safety concepts accurately between both languages. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in L&D, training creation, or instructional design, ideally within construction, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments. Hands On Experience: Proven experience building training programs, content strategies, or operational initiatives from scratch with little to no prior framework. Multimedia Production: Hands‑on experience scripting, filming, and editing instructional videos and dynamic digital content. Proven ability to work safely and effectively on active construction sites to shadow and document heavy machinery, equipment, and field processes. Strong ability to build trust with diverse field crews (laborers, mechanics, welders) and collaborate smoothly with management. Exceptional content organization skills with the ability to simplify complex, technical information into actionable learning. Self‑motivated and highly creative, viewing a blank canvas as an exciting opportunity rather than a daunting chore. Duties and Responsibilities Program Strategy & Architecture (15%) Design the foundational framework for our first grassroots talent development program, ensuring it is intuitive, scalable, and aligned with business goals. Map out our organizational structure to identify critical skills gaps between different departments and roles. Continuously improve how learning is delivered and accessed across our field and office teams. Develop and maintain a centralized training content strategy across all departments. Create, organize, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), quick‑reference guides, and operational playbooks. Establish a regular cadence to review, update, and streamline learning materials to ensure accuracy as field technology evolves. Content Creation & Training Programs (40%) Design engaging eLearning modules, interactive digital content, and instructional training videos. Visit active construction sites to deeply learn labor roles, mechanics, welders, operators, foremen, and superintendents to ensure training reflects real‑world conditions. Transform and standardize the New Hire Orientation (NHO) experience so new teammates hit the ground running safely. Build "just‑in‑time" training pathways to support key operational moments, including internal role transfers, promotions, and leadership development. Facilitation & Educational Delivery (10%) Host and lead interactive training sessions and workshops to educate teams on operational standards and machinery workflows. Deliver a blended learning mix of digital, classroom, and hands‑on demonstrations tailored to both deskless field workers and office staff. Provide real‑time coaching and support during training rollouts to empower teammates and build confidence in their roles. Cross‑Functional Partnership & Execution (10%) Partner closely with HR, Operations, Safety, and Field Leadership to understand their unique structures and training needs. Act as the central content partner for new operational initiatives, safety protocols, and program rollouts. Manage a cross‑functional training calendar to ensure consistency across corporate compliance and field training. Drive adoption of new learning initiatives through engaging experiences, field communication, and outreach. Track program usage, completion rates, and performance metrics across all newly launched modules. Gather live feedback from the field to analyze data, iterate on materials, and continuously improve training effectiveness. Success Metrics Program Launch: Successful company‑wide rollout of the first structured talent development framework. Field Utility: Positive feedback from site crews regarding the clarity, accuracy, and accessibility of training materials. Core Library: Completion of a core instructional video and SOP library featuring our main machinery, materials, and labor roles. Process Transformation: Measurable reduction in time‑to‑productivity for onboarding new hires and transitioning role transfers. Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
