Position Details

Position: Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO)
Location: Weaverville, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Practice Setting: Outpatient

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, with a primary focus on adult patient care.

The physician will deliver high-quality, patient-centered medical care, including:

• Preventive healthcare services

• Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses

• Women's health services

• Family planning

• Prenatal care

• Chronic disease management

• Health education and counseling

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.

• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses.

• Provide preventive healthcare services, including:

  • Annual wellness visits

  • Immunizations

  • Health screenings

• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.

• Order, perform, and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies.

• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with specialists.

• Provide women's health services, including:

  • Family planning

  • Prenatal care

  • STD screening

  • Reproductive health counseling

• Conduct vision and hearing screenings.

• Provide nutrition counseling and patient education.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR), including:

  • Patient history

  • Examination findings

  • Treatment plans

  • Medications

  • Referrals

  • Follow-up documentation

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.

• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.

• New graduates who have completed residency are welcome to apply.

• Previous outpatient primary care experience preferred.

• Experience working with medically underserved or indigent populations is highly desirable.

• Comfortable treating patients across all age groups, with the majority being adults.

• Current unrestricted California Physician License (MD or DO)

• Board Certification in Family Medicine

• Active DEA Registration

• Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) Certification

• CPR Certification

• Medicare, Medi-Cal, and Partnership HealthPlan credentialing eligibility

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification

• Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) Certification
