Pediatric Genetic Counselor (Instructor) – San Antonio, Texas Summary The Division of Genetics seeks a full‑time genetic counselor to join the faculty of Baylor College of Medicine at CHRISTUS Children’s. This position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Job Duties Provide genetic counseling primarily for pediatric patients in outpatient and inpatient settings, including counseling for adult patients when applicable. Review, elicit, and interpret family, medical and psychosocial histories. Coordinate the genetic testing process with laboratory, physicians, and patients/families. Work closely with geneticists, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other genetic counselors to coordinate patient care. Participate in multidisciplinary clinics, departmental conferences, meetings, and student and resident teaching. Report to the Genetics Division Chief. Minimum Qualifications Graduated from an ABGC accredited genetic counseling training program and be board‑certified or board‑eligible with the American Board of Genetic Counselors. Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and oral), strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and teamwork orientation. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
